Where to Stay

The Plaza

768 5th Ave, New York, NY 10019

The Plaza is an iconic landmark 19th-century luxury hotel & residence. The elegant French-style rooms have Italian linens and sitting areas & the bathrooms come with gold-plated fixtures. Dine like Eloise in the famed Palm Court(make sure to make a reservation) or have a Coffee and Nutella crepe downstairs at Todd's Food Hall. Go to the Rose Room on wednesdays,  a storied jazz lounge where Miles Davis and Duke Ellington have played. If you can't tell this is one of my favorite hotels in NYC & staying here was one of my most favorite New York experiences.

The Ludlow

188 Ludlow St, New York, NY 10002

Located in the Lower East Side, The Ludlow Hotel allows you to experience the city like a true New Yorker & just like Sixty LES iconic restaurants like Katz Deli and The Flower Shop & music venues like Pianos and Mercury Lounge are well within walking distance. The views of Lower Manhattan and the One World Trade Center are absolutely gorgeous especially in the Skybox rooms. The fireplace lounge in the lobby are great for meet ups and the french restaurant Dirty French has absolutely delicious brasserie food.

Sixty LES

190 Allen St, New York, NY 10002

Sixty LES have some of the most beautiful views out of any hotel I've ever stayed at. You lay in your bed and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow you to feel as if lower manhattan is floating beneath you. It's in the heart of the artsy Lower East Side neighborhood and walking distance to classic LES restaurants and hot spots. There's a stylish rooftop pool and lounge with a retractable roof, a beer garden, a sushi restaurant, a spa with a nice sauna and a fitness center.

St.Regis New York

Two East 55th Street At, 5th Ave, New York, NY 10022

Set in Midtown Manhattan and a block from The MoMA, this landmark luxury hotel is a 6-minute walk from Central Park. The rooms have 12-foot ceilings, silk wall coverings and chandeliers with sitting areas and Italian marble bathrooms with TV's in the mirrors, as well as 24-hour personal butler service(they'll run a bath for you!) Have a drink at the renowned King Cole lounge/bar. Use their Bentley limousine service & stay fit in their 24-hour exercise room and a steam room.Caveat be careful walking into the hotel from the street at night. The hotel is quietly tucked away off madison avenue and I got  approached by a homeless man around 2 am coming in from Bemelmans bar at the Carlyle. Remember it's still a big city despite the luxurious surroundings.

There are so many beautiful fun hotels in New York. It's unbelievable. I've thankfully had the chance to stay in a range of beautiful hotels on the Island of Manhattan from the iconic Plaza Hotel to the trendy lower east side's Sixty LES. Check out the list to the right for some of my favorites, there are a range of prices and styles for every taste & price range. This list is just as much for me as it is for you as I'd love to eventually stay at every hotel on this list.
